Honolulu, Hawaii
July 30th – August 6th 2002

Continued

Saturday
We woke up and got ourselves ready for the submarine tour “Atlantis.” This was a fun ride, as we took a boat out to the submarine, then dove down over 100 feet to see some artificial reefs and lots of different fish and turtles. After the submarine ride, we headed over to the Aloha Bears meeting, or lack of meeting. We met a couple of nice guys who convinced Alan and me to stay an extra day and go out on the Sunday catamaran ride. We also met a friend named Mark and ended up meeting two buds of mine from Houston who were also in Hawaii, Tom and Danny, for dinner at Outback Steakhouse.

After dinner we all headed back towards Alan’s and my hotel room. We all decided we wanted to do some night snorkeling, so we got dressed and got the snorkel gear and some underwater lights and went out in search of night life! We ran into everything from shrimp and pufferfish, to a rare Flying Gundam fish and Lionfish, just to name a few. It ended up getting really late and we all decided to crash and await the next day.

Sunday
Waking up early we went to the bar where we would purchase tickets for the catamaran ride. Around 10AM, Alan, Mark and myself made a mad dash for Aloha Stadium where the swap meet was. I was on a mission to get a Honolulu Fire Department shirt. The Boat was leaving at 12:30 so we had to go fast. Ironically when I was about to give up we found the County store, and got my prize! We then hurried back to the Sheraton, Waikiki where the catamaran was leaving. It was such a clear day and the weather was perfect! So we left on the catamaran, and enjoyed talking with different people throughout the 2-hour boat ride. After the catamaran we all decided to go up to Sharks cove for the evening for some night snorkeling. To our surprise there were not many fish if any in the cove. It left us somewhat disappointed. Anyhow we drove back into town and went to bed!

Monday
Alan and I woke up early and basically packed everything up and headed to the Airport to head back to Los Angeles.

CATALINA
August 10th 2002

After getting back from Hawaii with Alan I stayed in the LA area to look for work etc. And on Saturday, August 10th we took a trip to Catalina Island off the California Coast for some Scuba Diving. See the photos below of that fun time.
